Garat has wanted to plant a church since he was a Junior in high school. For him, Immersion Church is the culmination of 10 years of training, schooling, and dreaming. He has a double bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministries and Biblical Studies, and master’s degree in Counseling Psychology; all from Northwest University in Kirkland. Garat has been married to his beautiful wife Kelsey (she leads worship for Immersion) since 2014, and they have two children: Aurora and Justice. One of Garat’s favorite activities is sitting in a camping chair in his backyard in front of a fire with his friends. His other hobbies include working on his house, bow hunting for big game, and sports of every kind. Garat LOVES Jesus and has committed his life to inviting others into “life to the full” with God.

Chandler grew up going to church with his parents and older brother. During high school, he came to a fuller understanding of what it means to have a loving relationship with Jesus. In his senior year of high school, God called him into ministry. From there, Chandler attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies with an Emphasis in Youth Ministry. His greatest accomplishment at GCU, was meeting his now wife, Hannah. They got married during the summer of 2018 after they graduated and then moved to Corona, CA, where Chandler served as the Director of Junior High Ministry for just over 2 years at a local church. He and Hannah are incredibly excited to be a part of Immersion Church and look forward to seeing students and children as well as whole families in the Skagit Valley immersed in the love of Jesus Christ. 

Associate Pastor (Men's, Discipleship & Leadership Development)

Randy served in youth ministry for 8 years. In mid- 1997, Randy joined the team at Cascade Community Church of Monroe overseeing small group and men’s ministries. Randy experienced deep inner healing during his time at Cascade. After six years of serving at Cascade God called Randy and his late wife Debbie to Duvall to plant a unique kind of church. One with an emphasis on heart restoration. Randy’s wife Debbie went to be with her beloved Jesus in March of 2014. Through God’s deep care and wonderful provision, Randy has since remarried Anyah and is enjoying the adventure with his new bride. Randy has six children, Kelsey, Abbey, Elliott, Lucy, Joshua and Ezekiel. 

Kelsey has envisioned a church plant for many years with her husband Garat. A background of ten years in worship ministry has helped shaped the vision she has for Immersion's worship team. This vision emphasizes a focus on following the holy spirit's direction, connecting with God and leadership development. Currently Kelsey is a peri-operative registered nurse and is a mom to two children: Aurora and Justice. Often Kelsey can be found with family and friends enjoying community. She also loves horseback riding and hiking and anything else outdoors.

Kaitlyn was born and raised in Southern California and spent her days growing up at the beach and Disneyland. She met her best friend while serving at church and married him a few years later. After they got married, they took off and spent a year in Marrakech, Morocco. As their time in Morocco came to an end, they felt called to move to Washington State and join Immersion Church. Now that they are here, Kaitlyn is so excited to get to lead the Children’s Ministry. She has been serving in church with various age groups for a majority of her life now, and she loves watching as children develop their own relationship with the Lord. When she is not hanging with kiddos, she loves to cook, have game nights with friends, and plan her next big travel adventure! 

Women's Ministry Director & Worship Leader

Over the past 15 years, Anyah has experienced great healing through finding God as her "Father". Through a journey of healing from wounds of her past, God has spoken identity and calling into Anyah's life which has impassioned her to bring that journey to other women. As the women's ministry leader at Immersion. Anyah wants to help women find their feminine hearts, true identities and life missions through walking together to go deeper in their journey with God and finding Him and Father.

Anyah and her husband Randy live in the Skagit Valley and have 6 children. Together, Anyah and her husband own a small business and love to spend time with family and friends. At 15, Anyah began a journey of learning to lead worship in the youth group that she attended. A year later, she attended a Bible internship program in Marysville which continued to cultivate her love for Jesus Christ and her love for worship. Since then, she has had the privilege to learn and grow in multiple worship ministries for the past 19 years.  Anyah's passion at Immersion is to follow the direction of the Holy Spirit moment by moment when she leads in the worship experience.

Hannah grew up in the Pacific Northwest, but after marrying her best friend, moved to Southern California and helped in Youth Ministry with her husband Chandler. After reconnecting with Garat and Kelsey, old friends of hers from high school, she and Chandler felt the Lord calling them to join the Immersion team, and back to Washington she came. As Outreach Director, Hannah is thrilled to find opportunities to connect Immersion with the local community and share the love that Jesus has for both. Hannah is always down for a movie/game night with friends, going on long drives to nowhere and watching her sweet daughter, Samantha, explore this beautiful world.
